About the Opportunity

A regional hospital system in Arizona is seeking a Nursing Director to lead its Emergency Department. This role provides clinical, operational, and administrative leadership for ED nursing staff, ensuring high-quality, safe, and efficient patient care in a fast-paced emergency setting. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on ED nursing experience paired with proven leadership in an emergency department environment.

What You’ll Do

• Provide clinical and operational leadership for the Emergency Department nursing team
• Ensure delivery of safe, high-quality, and efficient patient care across the department
• Lead, mentor, and develop ED nursing staff, fostering a strong clinical and team culture
• Oversee department staffing, scheduling, and resource management to meet patient care demands
• Partner with medical staff, hospital leadership, and other departments to support coordinated, effective emergency care
• Monitor department performance, quality metrics, and regulatory compliance
• Support and drive process improvement initiatives within the Emergency Department

What We’re Looking For

• Current Arizona RN license or Compact RN License with Arizona endorsement
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing school
• BCLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and Handle with Care certifications
• Emergency Department nursing experience
• Proven leadership experience within the Emergency Department
