Emergency Department Director RN

About the Opportunity

A well-established hospital in the Russellville, Alabama area is seeking an experienced Emergency Department Director RN to lead their Emergency Services team. This is a great opportunity for a nursing leader who wants to make a real impact on department performance, team culture, and patient outcomes in a community-focused hospital setting.

What You’ll Do

• Provide day-to-day leadership and oversight of the Emergency Department, including staffing, workflow, and daily operations
• Lead, mentor, and build strong relationships across a multidisciplinary team of nurses, physicians, and support staff
• Monitor department performance metrics and implement performance-improvement initiatives based on data analysis
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, quality benchmarks, and hospital policies
• Partner with hospital leadership to support department goals and patient care standards
• Support staff development, competency, and engagement within the ED

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum of 5 years progressive leadership experience in Emergency Services
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and build effective working relationships
• Current Alabama RN license (or eligible for licensure)
• No hits on nursing license
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive performance improvement
• BLS and ACLS required (or obtained within a defined timeframe)
